Any DOA claims must be submitted within 2 hours of delivery with clear photos in the unopened bag.

 

We also provide a 5-day limited health guarantee provided fish are properly acclimated and maintained in suitable water conditions. In the event of loss, customers may receive store credit or replacement livestock upon review of water parameters and tank conditions. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Detailed policy

1. Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA)

Customer must report dead-on-arrival fish within:

2–4 hours after delivery for home delivery

Require:

Clear photos/video in unopened bag

Timestamped delivery proof

Offer:

Replacement fish

Store credit

Refund (excluding shipping)

 

2. 5 Day Limited Health Guarantee

We guarantee fish for 5 days after delivery provided proper acclimation and water conditions are maintained.

Require:

Water parameter proof:

Ammonia: 0

Nitrite: 0

Temperature range evidence (clear photo) 

Photos/video of tank that are clear

Proof fish was acclimated correctly 

Fish must not be housed with aggressive/incompatible species and we reserve the right to refuse a refund/ compensation if photo evidence suggests mismatched species and it is the customers responsibility to research what is compatible with their fish.

Compensation:

Replacement or store credit 

Customer pays shipping on replacement

 

We Do not guarantee losses caused by:

 

  • Improper acclimation

 

  • Cycling/new tank issues

 

  • Aggressive tankmates

 

  • Customer medication misuse

 

  • Power outages

 

  • Jumping from uncovered tanks

 

  • Delayed courier collection

 

  • Refused deliveries

Live Fish Sales & Delivery Terms & Conditions

2. Livestock Welfare

We take all reasonable care to ensure fish are healthy, correctly packed, and fit for transport at the time of dispatch or delivery.

 

As live aquatic animals are sensitive to transport, water conditions, acclimation, and ongoing care, outcomes after delivery may vary depending on customer handling and aquarium conditions.

 

3. Delivery Policy

Customers must ensure:

 

Someone is available to receive the delivery on the agreed date/time.

 

Fish are unpacked immediately upon arrival.

 

Fish are acclimated correctly before introduction into the aquarium.

 

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

 

Courier delays

 

Incorrect addresses

 

Missed deliveries

 

Severe weather

 

Events outside our reasonable control

 

Risk transfers to the customer upon successful delivery.

 

4. Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA)

We guarantee fish will arrive alive at the delivery address.

 

In the unlikely event of a Dead On Arrival (“DOA”), customers must:

 

Notify us within 2 hours of delivery

 

Provide clear photographs or video of:

 

The deceased fish

 

The unopened transport bag

 

Delivery packaging

 

Failure to provide evidence within the required timeframe may invalidate the claim.

 

Approved DOA claims may be resolved by:

 

Replacement livestock

 

Store credit

 

Refund 

 

Delivery charges are non-refundable 

 

5. Limited 5-Day Health Guarantee

We offer a limited 5-day health guarantee from the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

 

Customers must:

 

Properly acclimate livestock

 

Maintain suitable and stable water parameters

 

House fish in an appropriately cycled aquarium

 

Avoid incompatible or aggressive tank mates

 

To make a claim, customers may be asked to provide:

 

Water test results

 

Photographs/videos of the aquarium

 

Details of filtration, temperature, and tank setup

 

Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including rights under the:

 

Consumer Rights Act 2015

 

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

 

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
